Pray for the people of Ferguson, Missouri. Today across the nation thousands will stand in unity with the people of Ferguson asking in peaceful protest that police be held accountable. Pray for the protestors as well and an amplification of their voices.

When I hear this song it’s instant nostalgia back to seven years ago/my journey with Invisible Children. Tonight it made me a little teary. IC truly did change the course of my life. #IwillfightforjusticeuntilIdie #Roadieclassof2008

Gracie is leaving for outer space soon. And I thought I’d be going first. Figures.

"O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, and they do not set you before them. But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant. Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shame because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.”  - Psalm 86:14-17

"Each evening they come back, howling like dogs and prowling about the city. There they are, bellowing with their mouths with swords in their lips—for “Who,” they think, “will hear us?” But you, O Lord, laugh at them; you hold all the nations in derision. O my Strength, I will watch for you, for you, O God, are my fortress. My God in his steadfast love will meet me; God will let me look in triumph on my enemies… But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.” - Psalm 59:6-10, 16-17

"I’m embarrassed to say this, but I’ll say it. I’ve had a really hard time finding work, so I’ve been living with my grandmother. And she’s told me recently that she doesn’t have the money to feed me. So I’ve been eating at my friend’s house. I go over there, and I’m too embarrassed to ask for anything, but his dad always insists. He says: ‘Why aren’t you eating? Please, eat!’ This has really caused my idea of ‘family’ to widen. I’ve learned that your family can be anyone."

Back. So much to do, so little time. Next week is my last week working with Finn, Grace, Ryan, Reed, and Samir. My little bunch of hooligans. It’s like I’m a freelance preschool teacher with my own little class split between two households. I love them all so very much. Then, moving out of my sweet apartment. Out of downtown. Onto crutches. Goodness, here come something completely different.
